Fleming, Sam
Sam Fleming has become known throughout the United States and parts of South America as an organist, composer, arranger, conductor, and music educator. Sam graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree in Organ Performance and Composition where he studied organ with Dr. Daniel Kerr and Rebecca Parkinson, composition with Jay Richards and Darrell Brown, and choral conducting with Dr. Rebecca Lord.
As a composer and arranger Sam regularly receives commissions and performances by different performing groups including BYU-Idaho Vocal Union and the BYU-Idaho Concert Choir. As an organist, he has performed in the BYU-Idaho Student Organ Recital Series, with choral groups at BYU-Idaho, and as a guest artist for the Salonierres Concert Series in Phoenix, Arizona.
Sam has served as conductor for various church and university student-run choral groups, as music director for the BYU-Idaho Theatre Summer Camp, and coordinator and manager for BYU-Idaho Talent Activities where he coordinated and managed student run concerts and events.
Sam is currently a member of the American Guild of Organists.
