Holyoak, Kathleen
Kathleen, award-winning composer/arranger, organist and pianist, resides in Arizona with her husband, Garth W. Holyoak. They have 4 daughters and 12 grandchildren.
Kathleen is known for her keyboard style, piano techniques, and beautiful original melodies. She has written hundreds of vocal, choral, and instrumental arrangements as well as music for children. Her current publications include her most popular CDs, “Angels on Tiptoe”, and two for children: “Kitchen Parade” and “World on a String” where ordinary kitchen utensils are incorporated into her music. Her songbooks, “Songs for Every Season,” Books 1 & 2, and “Piano Solos for Every Season” include solos for every occasion. “The Big, Little Christmas Book,” was a collaborated effort with Daniel Carter. Her hobby is photography and she is author of “Flowers in Heaven”, a book for children, and has published more than a dozen autobiographies for relatives and ancestors.
Kathleen’s music has been performed around the globe and notably for President Bush and his staff at the White House and for Vice-President Cheney at his private residence for Christmas gatherings. She wrote orchestrations for LDS Temple dedications in Preston, England, and Kiev, Ukraine and traveled to Kiev, Ukraine, to play the bandura (Ukraine national instrument) in the orchestra.
Kathleen has traveled abroad to perform, give firesides, teacher-training workshops, and also participated in numerous humanitarian service projects to Ukraine, Guatemala, Kenya, and to Uganda in 2014.
