The title of this spirited SATB Christmas arrangement (with majestic organ accompaniment) delivers the message of God’s glorious eternal plan and is the perfect anthem for any Church Christmas program. Follow the words as it builds to a joyous ending:
Behold the Glorious Light of God’s eternal plan.
It fills each corner of the earth to lift the hearts of men.
Behold the glorious light of God’s sublime design
distills as dew upon the earth to share His love divine.
The morning stars have joined in praise,
Their heavenly anthems ring.
Alleluia, their homage to their King.
Behold the glorious light of God’s celestial way.
He shines His rays upon the path to guide us through each day.
Behold the glorious light of God’s celestial way.
He bids each soul to come to Him to share in His embrace.
Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, their homage to their King.

Behold the Lamb of God
Behold the Lamb of God, by Kathleen Holyoak, won the first place award in the Church Music Submissions in 2002 and a standing ovation in concert. Arranged for mixed Chorus (SATB) and organ, it is a wonderful choice for the opening or closing title for a Christmas worship service or concert. Written in a Classical style for choir but enhanced with dissonance and modern rhythms in the organ accompaniment, the music builds to an exciting and glorious ending. The first verse, with words written by Lawrence Lee, is as follows:
Break forth into joy, oh Israel,
Behold the Lamb of God.
He comes to earth this joyous day
to spread His light abroad.
Angel voices raise their song,
Join in praise with Heaven’s throng.
Break forth and sing, “Hosanna,
Hosanna to our King.”

Duet, Vocal Solo
Flowers in Heaven
Flowers in Heaven, a charming little song written specifically for Mother’s Day or for general purpose as a solo or duet, tenderly expresses a very sweet message: “There are gardens up in heaven that are planted with our seeds. They grow in hills and valleys that are free of thorns and weeds. Every little act of kindness, happy thoughts and cheerful deeds, will blossom in the gardens if we send the Lord the seeds. We can plant flowers in heaven; seeds that grow in colors of the rainbow. We can plant flowers in heaven by the love we show.”

Take My Hand
Take My Hand, a SATB choral arrangement with music by Kathleen Holyoak, is an especially beautiful title relating to the theme of service: helping and lifting others and a wonderful choice for any worship service. This title is also available in a SSA arrangement and includes a violin obbligato. Follow the words as you listen:
When I reach to help another,
When I seek to take their part,
I can feel the love of heaven
Settle gently in my heart.
With these hands to offer mercy
I help wipe away each care,
As I bend to lift another
From despair, from despair.
Take my hand, take my hand,
I will lift you come what may.
With faith the Lord, our loving Lord,
With faith that He will always show the way.
We are sent to render comfort and to
Pray for those who mourn,
And bring the gospel radiance
To each friend who is forlorn;
To lift them in their weakness
With help from heav’n above,
And walk with them and talk with them
Until they feel God’s love.
When I see a person suff’ring
From a loss or from a need,
When a neighbor seeks my comfort
And I hasten to pay heed.
Then the Holy Spirit guides me,
Shedding light along the way,
As I’m reaching out to others
Day by day, day by day.
Take my hand, take my hand,
I will keep you come what may.
Come walk with me until you see
Our Savior’s arms are always open wide.
Take my hand, take my hand.

That Night in Gethsemane
When Lawrence Lee wrote the lyrics for this hauntingly beautiful SATB choral title, he was thinking of the number of times we choose “to drink our own bitter cup” without exercising faith that Jesus has already taken this cup for us. All He asks is that we recognize His act in the Garden and on Calvary and to “Come Unto Him.” This title can also be found on Kathleen Holyoak’s “Angels on Tiptoe” CD at Heartrise Music.com or by contacting Kathleen directly.

Why Weepest Thou?
From the collaboration of composer Kathleen Holyoak and lyricist Lawrence Lee, a beautiful SATB Choral piece for Easter titled “Why Weepest Thou?” Kathleen is a significant LDS composer. Take time to peruse her work. “Mary, why weepest thou,” asked an Angel who attended the tomb where Jesus had been buried. Then followed words that would impact every person born to this earth, “He is not here, He has risen.” These simple words are written to a lovely melody that will fill your heart with joy and set the scene for this Easter season.
