Loose, Mary Ellen
A Composer, Arranger and Collaborative Pianist, Mary Ellen Loose has been on the music faculty at Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Chandler, Arizona for twelve years. As a student at Brigham Younger University, she was a Piano Performance major. She has written and arranged music for the Mesa Temple Easter Pageant and the Nauvoo Pageant. As a collaborative pianist, she travels throughout the western United States playing for church programs, state and regional choral festivals and musical theatre productions. Along-time member of ASCAP, she has published numerous choral and piano works with Santa Barbara Music Publishing, Jackman Music and, most recently, with Colla Voce in the Z. Randall Stroope Choral Series. Several of her choral works, co-written with Dr. J. Edmund Hughes, are performed often by high schools across the United States. She is listed in “Who’s Who Among American Women”. Mary Ellen enjoys running, weightlifting and working with young people. Her greatest accomplishments are her four children and four grandchildren, whom she adores!
